Bar Staff – Bistro Oggi, Authentic Italian Restaurant

Overview

Bistro Oggi is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant and professional team. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional service to our guests while contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a seamless and positive dining experience that reflects the charm and excellence of Italian hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including expertly crafted alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene practices at all times.
• Maintain a spotless and organized bar area, including cleaning glassware, utensils, and surfaces.
• Engage warmly with customers, efficiently taking orders and providing personalized recommendations.
• Handle cash and card transactions with accuracy, utilizing basic maths skills for processing payments.
• Assist in restocking and managing inventory levels to ensure seamless service.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address customer needs effectively.
• Exhibit excellent time management skills, especially during busy service periods, to maintain prompt and efficient service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is advantageous but not mandatory; we provide training for the right candidate.
• A strong understanding of food safety practices is preferred.
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Basic bartending skills are desirable; willingness to learn and grow in the role is essential.
• A friendly and approachable demeanor, coupled with a genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Ability to remain calm and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Italian is a plus and highly valued, reflecting our commitment to an authentic Italian experience.
